An Evening of Art and High-fashion Swept Us Away
Allard’s signature ‘Shopping Bags’ are filled with luxury goods and everyday objects, and then immortalized in crystal-like resin. These uniquely innovative artworks have already taken the international contemporary art scene by storm. With iconic cultural symbolism taking center stage, these bags speak to the nature of modern societal values.
Chanel, Chanel Everywhere!
Having been greatly influenced by the women in his life, along with his background as a creator for a fashion label, Allard highlights fashion throughout his artistic journey.
De Fred à Karl (from Fred to Karl) pays homage to the iconic Karl Lagerfeld. As creative director and fashion designer for Chanel Haute Couture from 1983 until his death last year, Karl’s image is representative of the French fashion house. Allard pays homage to this beloved symbol of fashion through his works.
Guests felt like they were walking the high fashion runways of Paris as they entered through the doors of our SoHo gallery. Allard’s monumental artworks immediately lit up the room, sparkling in gold and silver, creating an atmosphere congruous with the haute couture fashion house Chanel. In addition, models graced the floor in head to toe Chanel serving champaign while DJ Alix Brown set the mood. Guests savored the food and music while adorning their bodies in temporary Chanel tattoos and of course enjoying the inspiring artworks of Allard.

Guests had the unique opportunity to meet the artist behind the inspired works. This provided another element in viewing the collection. Not only that, but Eden Fine Art and Fred Allard gave those in attendance the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take home a custom piece of art! De Fred à Karl allowed art collectors to choose materials from a large display. The chosen items will now become immortalized into one of Allard’s signatures sculptures.
