A SURREAL EVENT with ANGELO ACCARDI
MISPLACED brings us surprising and delightful contemporary painting and sculpture
Contemporary Art took a surrealist turn as hundreds gathered at Eden Fine Art on Sunday, July 22nd to celebrate Angelo Accardi and his newest collection ‘MISPLACED’ in Nammos Village, Mykonos. The International gallery recently opened a boutique space in the luxury beach town on the Aegean, and Accardi’s exhibition is part of a string of high-profile events celebrating the new gallery and Eden’s renowned artists. The Italian’s offbeat style combines traditional talent for naturalistic painting and sculpture with a rebel mind, and he keeps creating strong paintings full of tongue-in-cheek reference to art history and contemporary politics.
For opening night, guests were treated to sweets by the world-famous pastry chef, Yazid Ichemrahen and roamed the gallery’s outdoor sculpture garden. Hundreds of visitors explored the new paintings and sculptures in Accardi’s collection among good friends, good food, and great music. Eden Fine Art created a life-sized Accardi painting where event-goers could take pictures with Angelo Accardi, and many guests sported painted-on Accardi tattoos of famous characters from the artist’s paintings. Artwork from ‘MISPLACED’ is on display at Eden Fine Art in Mykonos. Check out Eden Fine Art’s International galleries for artwork by Angelo Accardi on display all over the world.
